These guys may look very familiar because I photographed their wedding in Oxnard back in January…….and we’re getting around to getting their engagement photo session now! Good thing because the good people at the Staples Center decided to dress it up just for our photo shoot. Or it could be that the Lakers are in the Finals AGAIN and kicking some Celtic ! yay~

I haven’t had time to finish editing the entire session yet, but after tonight’s Lakers win I HAD to get these posted to show some Lakers Pride!

Pasadena Wedding & Engagement Photography | Benny & Jessica

For Benny and Jessica, they decided to do a combo wedding bridal photo session together with their engagement session. So I suggested photographing it in a few different locations in addition to some shots in my studio in Temple City inside Lucy’s Bridal & Photography. We ended up photographing their session at Old Town Pasadena, Union Station (train station in downtown), and the Downtown Disney Concert Hall. What a day! Downtown LA Union Station | Bridal Session | Garlo & Zhou teaser

Had so much fun photographing Daphne and Kent in my studio as well as when we went out to shoot around Pasadena City Hall. We got some beautiful couple photos at Old Town Pasadena (until we got politely kicked off a certain property), around Pasadena City hall and at the Pasadena Museum of California Art (PMCA where they’re having their ceremony), but most exciting would be shooting the cool tree lined Green Street. Kent and Daphne had a shot in mind and I was glad to be able to provide what they wanted……and more (might I add!)

Can’t wait for the wedding guys!

Walt Disney Concert Hall & Union Station | Engagement Session | Lan & Anthony

Lan & Anthony had to reschedule their pre wedding engagement bridal shoot 3 times due to the crappy June gloom that we had this year, but we finally found a Thursday that had decent weather for us to get some shooting done Anthony is actually brother of MyLinh (& Steve) and I was lucky enough to take Mylinh and Steve’s Bridal Session at Laguna Beach and in my studio. So when his time came around for looking for someone to shoot them (with a camera) they came right to me! We had to kinda outdo the previous shoot that we’ve done for MyLinh and Steve so instead of going out to Laguna Beach we did the downtown route. We got some shots at the Disney Concert Hall as well as the Union Station. It was a fun shoot all around and it was a special challenge for me to shoot them ’cause Anthony has a “no teeth showing” rule.

Jeanie and Philip was totally fun for me to shoot and believe it or not this lovely couple drove 6 hours from the San Francisco bay area to have their pre wedding bridal session at my studio! And just for that, we had their 20×24 and 24×30 enlargement pictures retouched, printed and mounted ready for them to take back with them the very next day after their bridal photo session. Oh, did I mention fun to shoot = lots of beautiful and awesome wedding photos for them! They ended up adding an extra album for the extra pictures that they just couldn’t part with. Few days after, I got a cool e-mail from them:

Hi Henry,

We picked up our two enlargement pictures yesterday. Thank you so much for rushing these for us. Our photo session with you was extremely fun!! We loved it! You made us felt very comfortable and the pictures turned out very pretty. Thank you so much for everything! I can’t wait to pick up the rest of the stuff, especially the picture albums!

Santa Fe Dam | Engagement Session | Linh & Andy

Had a super blast shooting the pre wedding bridal session for Linh and Andy. They are no strangers to our studio because Linh’s Sister Laura did her bridal session at our studio back in December ’08, and their friend Sandy and Man took theirs just a few months ago. So it was an easy decision for them having us shoot their bridal session. LInh and Andy out-did all previous shoots by providing their own prop….an Acura NSX! As most of you know, I usually shoot weddings, portraits, and babies……none of this super cool stuff. But I think I did just fine! Check out some favorites below:
